Support for the Humboldt Broncos hockey club and their families continues to pour in from across Canada and around the world.
As of late Tuesday night, the GoFundMe page reached the $8 million mark! Over 100,000 individual people made donations over a span of four days. CLICK HERE if you’d like to make a donation.
Another way to show your support Will take place this Thursday, April 12.
A group of hockey moms from British Columbia are leading the charge and are calling on Canadians to wear a sports jersey to work or school on Thursday, in tribute to the 15 passengers that were killed and the 14 others injured in Friday’s bus crash.
One of those Hockey Mom’s is Jennifer Pinch of Langley B.C.
“We just want to show that these families aren’t alone and there’s a whole country behind them. We just really wanted to show that we’re thinking of them, that they’re not alone. And if they need anything, us fellow hockey moms are here.”
The sport or league of the jersey does not matter. Just wear your jersey, take a picture and post it on social media with hashtag #JerseysForHumbldt to show the people of Humboldt, Saskatchewan that you are standing with them.
