Fresh Laundry: "Breaking Bad" movie is officially in the works

For Breaking Bad fans, this is either awesome news or terrible news.

Bryan Cranston has confirmed on the “Dan Patrick Show” that the movie is officially a go!

Yes, there appears to be a movie version of ‘Breaking Bad’. It’s a great story, and there’s a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to these story lines that were left open, and this idea, from what I’m told, gets into those… at least a couple of the characters who were not completed, as far as their journey.

The movie is said to focus on Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, and his escape from Albuquerque. There is no confirmation that Bryan Cranston will make some type of appearance in the movie, but he says he’s hopeful.

I would. I would, absolutely. If [‘Breaking Bad’ creator] Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely, yeah. He’s a genius. It’s a great story and there are a lot of people who felt they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open. And this idea, from what I’m told, gets into those… at least a couple of the characters who were not completed, as far as their journey.

My mom is a HUGE Breaking Bad fan (I’ve personally never seen the show), but I do know when a fantastic series ends, you usually want it to stay done. A movie or reboot can run the risk of completely ruining the show or in this case, the ending of the series. What do you think? Do you think this is a great idea or were you satisfied with the series finale? Let us know in the comments!
