37% of people say destination weddings are selfish

 

 

You might want to think twice before you plan a destination wedding.

According to a new survey by Allianz Global Assistance, 53% of people wouldn’t go to a destination wedding and 37% of people think it’s SELFISH for a couple to ask.

The cost of travelling was the number 1 reason as to why people skip destination weddings, with 42%.

17% said they wouldn’t go if they didn’t know the couple well enough to justify the cost and 11% wouldn’t go if they didn’t know the couple enough to just taking time off work.
